About Us

A deliberate approach to philanthropy.

sTF5 Care’s approach is rooted in venture philanthropy: combining local insight, evidence, strategic partnerships and alignment with wider systems to support work designed for meaningful and sustainable impact.

Who We Are

A Jordan-based philanthropic venture working across the Arab region.

sTF5 Care is a Jordan-based private philanthropic venture working across the Arab region, with a particular focus on Jordan and Palestine. Our portfolio is organised around three strategic pillars: Healthcare, Entrepreneurship and Community Development, aligned with relevant Sustainable Development Goals.

Our venture philanthropy model is built around four interconnected elements:

Local Engagement

Meaningful social impact begins with strong engagement with local communities and an understanding of their realities, priorities and context.

Needs Assessment

We seek a clear understanding of unmet needs, what already exists and where meaningful gaps remain, helping avoid unnecessary duplication.

Strategic Partnerships

We work with carefully selected partners whose expertise, local knowledge and capabilities can strengthen delivery and amplify collective impact.

Public Alignment

Where relevant, we align our work with public-sector initiatives and national priorities so that programmes can contribute to wider systems and longer-term development.

This approach is deliberately selective. We focus on the quality and depth of outcomes rather than the number of initiatives supported. Funding is one part of the model; evidence, programme design, technical capability, governance and partnership are equally important in creating value that can grow and endure over time.

Across our three pillars, this means supporting better quality of life for people living with multiple sclerosis, strengthening entrepreneurial capabilities and opportunities for young people, and contributing to resilient communities across Jordan and Palestine.

Our Vision

A more resilient Arab region in which people can access the care, capability and opportunities needed to participate fully in their communities and shape their own futures.

Within this vision, sTF5 Care focuses on stronger MS care and research, practical entrepreneurship and leadership education, and community development that advances dignity, resilience and access.

Our Mission

To identify consequential gaps, bring the right capabilities together and support evidence-led programmes, projects and initiatives across healthcare, entrepreneurship and community development.

We work with local, regional and international partners to strengthen access, build practical capability, improve systems and generate evidence that can inform what should continue, adapt or grow.

Our Story

Legacy becomes meaningful when it continues to serve.

sTF5 Care was founded by Samer Tawfiq Fakhouri, a Jordan-based entrepreneur and investor, as a more structured expression of a long-standing family commitment to philanthropy. The intention was not simply to formalise giving, but to apply the same discipline used in building organisations: understand the need, define the objective, select the right people, establish accountability and stay close to results.

The legacy of Tawfiq Fakhouri is reflected in named initiatives that connect family values with institutional continuity. In healthcare, Nemat Al-Tawfiq has developed into a specialised MS outpatient support model. In education, the Tawfiq Fakhouri Entrepreneurship and Leadership Programme at King’s Academy creates a structured pathway for students to identify problems, test ideas and learn through practice.

As the portfolio developed, sTF5 Care moved further toward a venture-philanthropy model. Long-term programmes sit alongside targeted projects and initiatives. Direct services are connected with research. Education is connected with capability and opportunity. Community response is connected with dignity, representation and access.

The institution continues to evolve its governance, monitoring and evaluation, and grant-management systems so that decisions can be supported by stronger evidence and clearer accountability. The aim is practical: make fewer claims, ask better questions, and build work that remains useful after the moment has passed.
